Muhammad Shafiullah has been writing since his school years, inspired by a passion for poetry, short stories, and non-fiction. During that time, he wrote hundreds of poems, stories, and essays. His first book, Asmat Ali’s Hunger Strike (Asmot Alir Onoshon), a collection of short stories, was published at the Amar Ekushey Book Fair in 2017. His second book, July Mass Uprising: Several Days of Counting the Dead Bodies ((July Gono Obbutthan: Morodeho Gononar Koyekti Din), an investigative non-fiction work based on his firsthand reporting during Bangladesh’s 2024 July Mass Uprising, was published in 2026.
